Laura is on the Scholarship Review Committee of the Jeannette Rankin Foundation, is a member of the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce for whom she has created a women’s empowerment program, and serves on the Oconee County Library Board, part of the Athens-Regional Library System.

Laura earned her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law, and earned her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University School of Law. A graduate of Auburn University, Laura earned her B.A. in political science with minors in English and psychology.
