Erdem was a past member of the Dealmakers committee and held the position in 2014.
Mr. Balkan is specialized in competition law, television and media law, intellectual property law, corporate affairs, contract drafting, mergers and acquisitions, etc.
Mr. Balkan has worked on the incorporation of the local MTV channel (MTV Turkey), has consulted clients on their day-to-day corporate matters, worked on several M&A projects, and has especially consulted multinational clients on establishing secure distributorship agreements from a Turkish competition law point of view.
Mr. Balkan has an LL.B. degree from Marmara University (Istanbul), an LL.M. degree from Istanbul Bilgi University (Istanbul), and a second LL.M. degree from Vanderbilt University (Tennessee, USA).
