Elliot has over 40 years of experience advising clients with respect to all phases of taxation, business planning, acquisitions and divestitures, estate planning and structuring.
In addition to the firm’s client base, he frequently consults to members of the publishing, media, real estate, private equity and investment banking communities to render assistance in structuring accounting and tax related aspects of acquisitions and dispositions. Among the many services that Elliot provides include analyzing the tax and accounting implications of proposed transactions and often times assisting companies in devising compensation plans which provide an incentive to management and boards to effectuate successful transactions. Elliot has acted as an advisor to clients in the acquisition of properties, including the acquisition of the Crown Building in 2015 for $1.775 Billion.
Elliot is currently on the Board of two public companies, Gyrodyne LLC and Wharton Properties BVI (where he serves as the co-chairman).
Elliot received his BA in Accounting from Queens College in 1975. He is currently affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
