Elçin Karatay is the Managing Partner of Solak&Partners Law Firm and she is a corporate lawyer specialized in areas including corporate law, M&As, intellectual property law, contracts law and employment law. She is representing national and international clients on their complex legal needs and day-to-day business operations. As a specific focus area, she works intensively on creating legal solutions for her clients working on information technologies and software areas and has vast experience on IT agreements.
Elçin is a highly regarded lawyer on corporate law and technology areas and she is acting as the President of Financial Innovation and Technology Association’s Legal Commission in Turkey, is a member of International Bar Association’s Technology Law Committee, and is a mentor, advisor or lecturer to many universities, governmental authorities and incubation centers including Istanbul Technical University Çekirdek, Bilkent University Cyberpark Cyber Security Program, Bahçeşehir University Blockchain Center, Turkey Information and Communication Technologies Authority Academy.
Elçin is a member of Istanbul Bar Association. She has graduated with honors from Koç University, and Galatasaray University LLM program where she concluded her thesis on startup investment agreements. In addition to her law degree, she has a minor degree on Economics from Koç University and she is an alumni of Stanford University Mathematics Camp.
