Can you tell us a bit about you?
I have a strong background in sales, marketing, and business management, holding a degree in international business and marketing. Over the course of my career, I’ve held various management roles and have been with IR Global since July 2013.
Outside of IRG, I’m passionate about sports, especially football, boxing, and golf. Since becoming a father in 2023, I’ve traded my Saturday football matches for quality time with my young son and truly enjoy every moment.
I’m also a proud dog parent to Floyd, who joined our family during lockdown, and I love nothing more than getting outdoors with him, whatever the weather. I’ve also got a keen interest in film and music, and love a good challenge on TV quiz shows.
What is your role at IRG?
As part of the Business Development Team, my key role is to drive the growth of the network, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our IRG members and external users. I also oversee numerous member accounts, working to ensure they are satisfied, engaged, and achieving their goals within the network.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is traveling to our global conferences and working with members from a wide range of countries and backgrounds. This experience has given me a well-rounded understanding of the global business landscape and various working cultures.
What brand reflects you the most and why?
I’m a big fan of Paddy Power and the unique way in which they market themselves. I think they’ve always been quite fearless and bold in their approach. They push the boundaries of what’s acceptable, with much of their campaigns built on humour. While many companies have tried to follow their lead, no one does it quite like them. Check out the “loyalty’s dead” campaign if you haven’t already!
What’s your biggest IRG highlight to date?
Having been at IRG for over a decade, there have been many highlights but a specific moment that stands out is the ‘post-event’ drink at the top of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore – an unforgettable experience.
In general, I find it really rewarding to connect two unfamiliar firms and see their professional and personal relationships grow. Knowing that I’ve contributed to their business success and expanded their circle of friends is something I take a great amount of pride in.
Name something you can’t live without.
Coffee… and lots of it.
