After an initial career in the family business of film production and advertising, Julia took on the role of CEO for Koffels Solicitors & Barristers founded in 1990.
With a business background as a foundation, it brought a fresh look to the traditional concept of managing a profession based environment.
As a family run, mid-tier firm with a focus on commercial transactions and cross-border work, it is a full service firm with all the complexity of a diverse practice.
Her role in the firm includes that of financial controller, compliance, budgeting, matter & client monitoring, acquisition of plant & equipment, staffing, and marketing; while maintaining a culture within the firm conducive to a positive work environment.
Koffels’ membership with IR Global began in 2014, and their involvement has remained both active and highly rewarding.
As a member of the newly formed Practice Management Committee, she hopes that the focus will be on an exchange of ideas within the general membership, about mutual issues addressed by all members in the pursuit of successful, efficient and profitable practices.
In a rapidly changing global business environment the ability to embrace new ideas as to what those practices will look like in the very near future will take initiative and thinking outside the square as we know it today.
