As a Chief of Compliance and Ethics at Legem Attorneys At Law, Juan José has expertise in diverse legal fields in Mexico related to business legal obligations as well as organization internal regulation. Lecturer on both legal and soft-skills matters, Juan José focuses his practice advising clients on Compliance and Technology regulation, tackling a wide variety of laws for mitigating legal risks. 

Dr. Rico holds a Bachelor in Law as well as a couple of masters in Business and Public Management. In 2011 got his Ph.D. in Public Policy, in addition to more than 20 diplomas on his expertise areas from different universities of the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.

Former Dean of the Social Sciences School of the number 1 ranked Mexican University in Latinamerica, Tec de Monterrey, Juan José was also Compliance Officer for the largest bank in Mexico before joining Legem’s team. 

Nowadays, Juan José invests part of his time teaching and advising students from diverse graduate schools in law, business, and political science.
