Eric is an entrepreneur and attorney with a legal generalist background who specializes in advising emerging companies/venture capital, startups and FinTechs. In the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, Eric has advised clients on:
- NFT creation,
- Money service business regulation and exemptions as applied to cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, and
- Compliance with US Statutory rules and regulations and FinCEN guidance.
Eric ran his own law practice for over 9 years and was a founder, general counsel and Chief Operating Officer for OVAL Digital Inc., a smart home manufacturer, for 6 years. He has extensive experience advising clients on corporate formations, strategic and corporate finance, commercial operations, employment matters, and residential and commercial real estate transactions. Eric also has experience sitting on Boards of Directors and Advisors and has served as Corporate and Board Secretaries.
Eric built both his law practice and the in-house legal department at OVAL from the ground up, implementing compliance standards, human resource guidelines, and entire legal processes. He has also advised numerous companies building out their legal and HR processes, and currently provides outside General Counsel services to both emerging companies and established businesses alike in the New York City area.
Eric’s client base includes startups, FinTechs, technology firms and manufacturers; cannabis companies; media professionals; and employers, founders and corporate executives. Eric is currently licensed in the States of New York and New Jersey.
