Overview
Carlo Cannizzo focuses his practice in real estate, infrastructure and construction, corporate, finance and M&A transactions. It has more than 20 years of experience and has been involved and acted as leading counsel in many strategic transactions in Mexico, among which, the JV, acquisition and sale of different real estate mix use projects, negotiation of pipeline transport and construction agreements for the oil and gas industries, finance structuring. He has acted as main counsel of large foreign banks, real estate funds, hotel management companies, construction companies, industrial companies, high tech companies, leading international fashion companies, among others. He participates in the board of directors of several Mexican companies, some of which are listed in the Mexican Stock Exchange.
Experience
Carlo Cannizzo began his professional career at Cannizzo, Ortiz y Asociados, S.C. in 1994, his experience includes an active participation, among other transactions, the following:
Real Estate and Hospitality.
Acquisition by U.S. Real Estate Fund of six All-Inclusive Grand Tourism Resorts located at Mexican Caribbean and Pacific with value of USD$600 million;
The acquisition of Bosque Real one of the largest luxury housing and golf course development within the Mexico City area;
The Sale of Malecon Americas one of the largest shopping, hotel and condominium projects in the Cancún area;
The acquisition of Puerto Cancún which is the largest development in Cancún;
The acquisition of more than 15 large hotel properties for a US fund during the past 5 years;
The construction of several gas pipelines in Mexico.
