His expertise in Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) administration and broker management, and his knowledgeable in various import and export related topics dealing with US Fish and Wildlife (FWS) and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) have continually helped the firm’s clients.
Career Highlights
Brad started his career working for UPS Supply Chain Solutions (UPS-SCS), formerly known as Fritz Companies. He started as a clerk at a release office on the Northern border where he was promoted to import manager. Brad then took a position in Montreal where he was the North American Liaison Manager advising Canadian exporters on US regulatory topics. He was involved in several validations relating to product qualification for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). He has dealt with regulations from various other government agencies which include Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and Department of Transportation (DOT) to name a few. In 2000, Brad moved from upstate NY to Dallas, TX where he was a Regional Import Manager at the UPS-SCS national brokerage hub.
Leadership
He joins us from Fossil, a global retailer specializing in the design, innovation, and marketing of fashion lifestyle and accessory products. He was the Director overseeing the Trade Compliance and International Logistics department at Fossil. Brad was instrumental in getting Fossil approved for the Importer Self Assessment (ISA) program as well as the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. His collaborative approach allowed Brad to be successful in getting corporate support at senior levels on various topics. He has extensive experience in carrier management, contract negotiations, and transportation network design.
Credentials
He gained his US Customs Broker License in 1996. Over the past 18 years, Brad has saved millions of dollars in penalty avoidance and mitigation due to his ability to spot areas that needed policies and procedures. He is also proficient in classifications relating to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Schedule B.
