AARON P. ALLAN -  Aaron P. Allan, a Senior Partner in Glaser Weil’s Environmental and Energy Department, has more than two decades of experience litigating cutting edge and “bet the company” cases for a diverse range of business entities, including significant energy, environmental, toxic tort and real property litigation matters.

Mr. Allan has long represented energy companies and utilities in high-profile litigation matters, including companies subjected to claims brought under CERCLA and other environmental laws. In addition to representing oil companies and solar energy providers, he has represented manufacturing companies, government entities, shopping centers, hoteliers, financial institutions, trustees and real estate developers.  Mr. Allan regularly counsels clients in connection with environmental due diligence, environmental site remediation, and liability risks associated with the sale, purchase or foreclosure of environmentally contaminated properties.

Glaser Weil's Environmental and Energy Department has significant experience successfully representing clients on energy issues that impact commercial endeavors.  In its annual Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” survey, U.S. News and World Report named Glaser Weil's Energy and Environmental Department as a Tier One practice in the energy sector.  The Department’s attorneys, including Mr. Allan, have handled matters that range from overseeing the environmental and energy aspects of the CityCenter project in Las Vegas — the largest privately funded construction project in history — to litigating a number of precedent-setting cases that have established defining legal principles under the Clean Air Act, CERCLA, RCRA and the Public Utilities Code.  Glaser Weil was recently tasked with developing cutting-edge legal mechanisms for confronting critical issues in the emerging arenas of climate regulation and green building law, including the creation of products to insure the validity of carbon credit transactions and LEED certifications for sustainable development.  The group has also recently advised clients concerning Demand Response Auction Mechanisms and related programs including CalGreen, California’s statewide green building code.
