Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile

21st – 24th September 2024

Message from Ross Nicholls

Dear Members,

Our 2024 Annual conference was attended by over 400 members coming from 85+ jurisdictions around the world. Thank you to everyone who contributed to such a wonderful event in the city of lights, we were delighted to see so many new relationships and collaborations forming- it really was a conference to remember!

Those who arrived early to Paris enjoyed pre-functions hosted by local members and sponsors which was a great opportunity for networking and enjoying time together again in person before the conference formally kicked off. Thanks to all our hosts here, it really was a brilliant time.

The conference itself was filled with a wide variety of professional networking opportunities, expert-led presentations and breakout sessions & workshops ensuring all our attendees had time to connect and strengthen business relationships. We were pleased to see so many member-led sessions also being held during breaks, offering further collaborative opportunities.

The social events consisted of an opening drinks reception hosted at the historical Salle Wagram, luxury networking dinner at Pavillon d’Armenonville, before finishing with our Closing Drinks reception at the highest panoramic bar in the City of Lights.

Member of the Year

Katherine Evans

Mirkwood Evans Vincent, England

Every year, IR Global recognise our most successful, influential and active members of the group via our ‘Member of the Year’ (MOTY) awards process.

We reach out to all members and ask for their nominations of the individuals and firms who they believe have made a significant contribution to the group. These are then shortlisted to 15 firms.

The criteria starts with referrals, both inbound and outbound. However, it is not just based on the highest level of referrals, but also other innovative and creative ideas that have been put into practice, how they are helping us and their fellow members and finally what their membership means to them and their business.

In 2024, we were delighted to award Katherine Evans with the MOTY Award.

Katherine and her firm joined IR Global in 2014, and since then, she has been a dedicated and invaluable member. Her firm has actively engaged in sending and receiving numerous strategic referrals, consistently promoting and supporting fellow IR Global members. Katherine’s hard work and dedication are evident in her leadership style, which focuses on collaboration and mutual success. She embodies the IR Global ethos, inspiring others to follow her example.

Through her tireless efforts, Katherine has not only strengthened our network but also showcased the immense power of mutual support and cooperation within our community. Her approach has led to the development of robust, symbiotic relationships among members, fostering an environment where everyone thrives. Known affectionately as a ‘legal hobbit’ with a heart of gold, Katherine’s contributions go beyond mere professional engagement; they reflect her genuine commitment to the growth and well-being of our network. Her dedication and collaborative spirit have set a standard for others to aspire to, making her a true beacon of the IR Global community.

“It is a testimony to the strength of the IRG Network that the other two finalists were such strong candidates in their own right. In this company, I feel very honoured to have been chosen by my peers as their Member of the Year 2024.

Since I joined IRG in 2014, it has been critical to the success of my law practice, both for making available to me a network of dedicated and high performing professionals to refer work to when my clients need it but also for the friendship and camaraderie which has made and continues to make my business and personal journey through life so much more enjoyable in every way.”

Congratulations also to this year’s finalists: Brian Meegan of Kupfer and Ferruccio Bongiorni of Studio Bongiorni.

Gold Members

At IR Global we want to reward our active & longstanding members. One of the ways we do this is via our Bronze, Silver & Gold member rosettes awarded across the group annually.

We calculate these rosettes on an internal points system based solely on the individual members activity including responsiveness, activity and most importantly inbound and outbound referrals.

During our annual conference in Amsterdam, we presented our gold members with their awards to thank them for their hard work and engagement with the network.

Thank you to all of our gold members, who have gone above and beyond over the past 12 months and over the course of their long-standing memberships with IR Global.
