The 2015 conference title and concept has been inspired from music and musical production. A subject that is close to many of our hearts, including my own. Of course every composition of music is made up of an array of individual instruments / sounds, and when brought together they create a melody. A network of people and firms is much the same, apart from the obvious of bringing together parts to create a greater whole, its beauty lies in the manner in the way it is composed. Its structure and the resulting state can be incredibly powerful, even eliciting strong emotions. With the group rebranding this year to IR - Global, I thought this was particularly pertinent and a chance for us to look at how we can get today and tomorrow’s business leaders to listen and work with IR.

Sunday September 27th - Pre-Registration, Training & Drinks Reception

Pre-Registration - between 15:00 & 16.30 in The Samuel Room
We invite you to come and meet the IR team between 3:00 and 4.30pm to register, pick up your name badge, printed event
schedule and personal itinerary.

Training - from 13:00 to 17:00 in The Samuel Room
Itzik Amiel will host one of his highly renowned training sessions on networking. This has proven to be a very popular and
successful part of the program in previous years. If you are still keen to join, please contact Itzik directly at itzik@itzikamiel.com.

Drinks Reception - from 19:00 at Chiswell Dining Street, the Montcalm Brewery Hotel
The opening drinks reception will be held at Chiswell Dining Street which is joined to the Montcalm Brewery Hotel from 7pm-10pm.
There will be a welcome glass of Prosecco, variety of drinks available there after and canapés served between 7.30-9pm.

Monday September 28th - Break Out Sessions, Networking Lunch & Evening Meal

Please arrive for 8.30am.
The AM sessions will officially start at 9am and be hosted by the relevant steering committee members.

The Open Networking Lunch will be served downstairs in the venue between 12-2pm in James Watt and King
/ Queen Vault rooms. Filming / Interviews will all take place in the hotel within the Samuel Room.

18:45 - 23:30 Evening Meal at the UnderGlobe
Transfer to the venue by coach at 6.45pm. Meeting point will be the Courtyard of The Montcalm At The Brewery
Hotel. Return transfer to the Montcalm at The Brewery: 10.30-11.30pm. A late license has been secured for
Chiswell Street Dining Rooms until 12.30am for any members who wish to have a final drink.

Tuesday September 29th - Full Day Conference 09:15am - 17:00pm

18:00 - 20:00 For any members in London after the conference, you are welcome to join the IR team in for a few drinks at the M by
Montcalm Shoreditch London Tech City bar Tonic & Remedy before you leave from 6pm-8pm

Our Venue

The Brewery is a truly historic, Grade II listed venue occupying the buildings of Whitbread’s 18th Century beer-making empire in the City of London. Its rooms, ranging from great halls to intimate chambers, are unique. With state-of-the-art business conference facilities plus excellent transport links - the venue is conveniently located close to three Underground stations.

Dear Attendees,

I look forward to seeing you all soon, at the IR Annual Conference in London.

I believe this event signifies a very important and exciting new chapter of the group’s development. 2015 has seen IR celebrate our 5th anniversary and it has been an opportunity for us to look back on some of our achievements and strategically assess our current position and where we are heading to.

In the past 5 years, IR has become both the fastest growing network in the professional services arena and also the largest
practice area-focused group. We have held some fantastic events all over the world, witnessed inter-group referrals increase significantly year on year and developed a strong
nucleus of leaders within the network who work alongside us to develop the various practice area groups. It is fair to say, no other network has had such an impact, in such a short space of time and this was indeed supported by our acceptance into the Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 rankings this year.

I believe one of the main reasons for this rapid growth, has been our willingness to innovate, be reactive and take risks! We have not been content to be ‘just another network’ but determined to become a real, viable alternative for international businesses.
This event, we’ll take our biggest step yet by officially announcing our re-brand to IR Global and presenting the next stages of the group’s evolution.

The event title this year is ‘An Original Composition’, a concept built around classical music. Metaphorically, it takes many elements to create a piece of music or build a network, as the saying goes ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its parts’. In addition to this though, I believe the difference between a good or great piece of music / network is intangible and the emotion which it creates.

One of our goals during this event, is to share a new message and create such a feeling. Thus helping us together become the number one choice of any forward thinking, innovative business or individual.
