Lorna Scott

Can you tell us a bit about you?
I enjoy spending quality time with my daughter, family, and friends. I enjoy good food and great music. I love to travel and explore new places. I’m also a big fan of thriller novels and crime documentaries!

What is your role at IRG?
I have been with IRG since 2011, starting as a client manager before transitioning to the role of events manager. My responsibilities include overseeing the IRG conferences from concept to completion. This involves researching locations and venues, organising social functions, coordinating speakers and logistics, and providing on-site support during the events. I enjoy exploring the diverse cultures and traditions of each location, and finding ways to incorporate these elements into our events so that attendees can fully experience the city they’re in.

What brand reflects you the most and why?
Marks & Spencer – a leading British retailer. I love the quality and value the brand brings to the high street. I have very fond memories of shopping here with my mum and nan when I was younger. I also worked in one of their stores many years ago.

What’s your biggest IRG highlight to date?
I would say our annual conference in Paris is my biggest work achievement. The planning for this location took a significant amount of time, so being able to finally host the event in the City of Light was a rewarding accomplishment!

Name something you can’t live without.
I can’t live without music! There are always songs as a reminder of special moments.
