Philipp was recommended in the EMEA edition of the Legal 500 directory as “strong on strategy and negotiation”.
Philipp has an international legal education which enables him to provide legal advice across borders.
He is specialised in corporate, banking and financial matters, including funds law.
Philipp looks back and draws on experience as a legal professional in England & Wales, Luxembourg and Germany. He is qualified to practice law in all of these jurisdictions and entertains rights of audience in the courts of these countries.
Based on his international expertise, Philipp has advised former cabinet ministers of Luxembourg’s government on European Competition Law matters. Recognising his experience, the University of Luxembourg appointed Philipp Simon as a Chargé de Cours Associé (Associate lecturer) where he lectures at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance.
Recent work includes assisting with the authorisation of Salus Alpha SICAV, the first self- managed SICAV to be approved by the CSSF in some time.
Philipp is the author of the chapter on Luxembourg company law in “Handbuch des internationalen GmbH-Rechts”.
His membership in the renown set of Barristers “Ely Place Chambers” in the legal heart of London enables Philipp Simon to provide reliable and efficient services on both sides of the English Channel.
He also lectures at the University of Metz (France) on English corporate law.
He speaks German and English and some French
