Helmuth Gallego holds a law degree from the Universidad del Externado in Bogotá, Colombia. He obtained a Master of Laws (L.L.M.) in Private Law as well as a Ph.D. in Banking Law from the Johannes Guttenberg-Universität in Mainz, Germany and founded Gallego Abogados in 1995.
In addition to Dr. Gallego’s work as Managing Director of the firm, he is arbitrator at the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá and was professor for Private Law at the Universidad Nacional in Bogotá, Colombia from 1995 until 2013.
Dr. Gallego is valued for his great experience in international business matters, his entrepreneurial spirit, the knowledge of the European business culture and the commitment to the materialization of Gallego Abogados clients´ projects in Colombia. The energy sector group as well as all the public procurement group of the law firm are led by Dr. Gallego.
