What does a poor (or unsuccessful) hiring decision cost a business?
The Partners of an Accounting business (based in Arizona) analysed this after hiring a Senior Accountant with experience in consulting at a ‘Big Four’ firm.
They knew they were making a big investment and hoped the new hire would become a Partner in a few years.
Unfortunately, after a tumultuous 7 months, the Senior Accountant resigned. The circumstances around this were not pleasant… but it was important to learn from the experience so that any mistakes would not be repeated.
