As of March 01st, 2023, the Italian rules of civil procedure have been amended and the new rules introduced heavy innovations, especially with reference to the introductory phase of litigation proceedings.
In particular, the deadlines to submit the defense arguments have been tightened and the foreclosure effects have been worsened, especially with reference to the filing of evidence; moreover, the procedural formalities and tasks placed on the parties have been increased and the deadlines for their execution have been reduced.
It follows that the management of litigation proceedings, especially commercial litigation proceedings, requires considerable experience and specific expertise, as well as the availability to apply a team of professionals to each litigation procedure, to ensure the timely and accurate execution of the defence activities.
