SKW Schwarz appoints four new partners at the beginning of the year

SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte appoints four partners from within the firm: Dr. Martin Greßlin, Margret Knitter, and Benjamin Spies from the Munich office as well as René Kieselmann from the Berlin office will be admitted to the partnership at the beginning of the year.

Dr. Martin Greßlin (38) advises German and international enterprises as well as senior managers on all matters of individual and collective labor law. His work focuses on matters of labor law in association with corporate transactions and restructuring, employee data protection, and the law on company pension schemes.

Margret Knitter, LL.M. (43) has long-standing experience in trademark, design, and competition law. She advises among others on establishing national and international trademark strategies and on the transnational pursuit of trademark and design patent violations, in particular on product piracy.

Benjamin Spies (36) advises enterprises in particular from the automotive and furniture industries on all matters of IT law. He advises in particular on data protection law, on the contractual structuring and implementation of IT projects, on software licenses (including free and open source software and applications for mobile devices), as well as on matters of e-commerce law.

René Kieselmann (41) advises above all public-sector clients, but also bidders, on public procurement law and associated fields, such as subsidy law. He focuses on bids in the fields of IT and civil protection/rescue operations.

With corporate lawyers Dr. Stephan Morsch in Munich and Natascha Grosser in Düsseldorf, SKW Schwarz strengthened its practice by two lateral partner hires in the past year. At the turn of the year, the firm will further expand the specialist areas of media and entertainment law with Dr. Martin Diesbach joining.

“The partner appointments at the turn of the year just like the recent partner entries support the targeted growth plans of SKW in key client areas,“ said Prof. Dr. Mathias Schwarz as Chairman of the Board.

Since several weeks, SKW Schwarz has bundled the industry and professional expertise of all offices in the focal areas of Media and Entertainment, IT and Digital Business, IP, Corporate/M&A, and Employment Law. For the areas of Strategy/Management and Organization, the partnership elected Markus von Fuchs and Andreas Seidel as Co-Managing Partners effective January 1, 2015.
