SEC’s Climate Disclosure Rules Delayed Amid Legal and Political Turmoil

UPDATE: On April 4, 2024, in response to opposition by a number of states to its new climate change disclosure Rules and despite support by other states, the SEC voluntarily delayed the Rules’ effectiveness until resolution by the courts, which might take a year or more. The results of the Presidential election will likely determine the ultimate fate of these rules.
