In addition to our IR Global conferences, many members host their own events to foster closer connections among professionals working within the same regions. Most recently, members from our MENA and LATAM groups met in Morocco and Costa Rica, blending professional insights, networking, and cultural experiences.
Over 30 members gathered for the annual MENA meeting from 30th October to 2nd November across Casablanca and Marrakesh. Co-hosted by Msefer & Associes, Bennani Law Firm, Komon Avocats, Abousleiman & Co, Sagiure Legal, Paul Beare Ltd, UGGC Avocats, and Reef Rechtsanwälte, the event began with a welcome reception at Maison Gapi in Casablanca, setting a warm tone for a week of engaging sessions. Highlights included panels on capital investment, data protection, and regional innovation, with speakers such as Omar Laalej of AL MADA and Omar Bekkali of AfricInvest Morocco sharing valuable insights into sustainable growth in Morocco and Africa. Social events, including a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque and a traditional dinner at Dar Dada, created memorable networking opportunities.
Members then moved to Marrakesh for discussions on topics like women in tech and mental health, concluding with a cocktail dinner to celebrate the connections made.
Meanwhile, our LATAM group gathered from 7th – 9th November in Costa Rica, hosted by Oller Abogados & Despacho Jiménez у Guzmán Asoc. S.A. The meeting opened with a lively reception at Hotel Real Intercontinental, followed by a Leadership Conference led by LIDERA+ and a session on Latin American business trends presented by Luis Mastroeni. Members also enjoyed a guided San José city tour, networking sessions, and a karaoke night to close the day.
A highlight was the optional visit to Hacienda Alsacia, Starbucks’ only coffee farm, offering attendees a unique look into Costa Rican coffee production and sustainability.
Both of these meetings provided rich opportunities for collaboration, strengthening IR Global’s commitment to fostering connections across regions. We look forward to seeing the impact of these new partnerships!
