Over the past couple of weeks, members from across the IR Global network have been meeting to discuss issues affecting their jurisdictions and individual practice areas. Member groups have used these meetings to form solutions and find new ways of working to overcome these obstacles together, whilst also making life-long memories with each other via various social events.
IR Global MENA Meeting – Beirut 🇱🇧
MENA group members enjoyed a weekend of networking, sightseeing and wine tasting organised by host Wissam Abousleiman of Abousleiman & Co. The intimate networking event allowed members from across the MENA countries to reflect and reconnect over plans for the future.
Not only was it an insightful meeting to discuss the region’s current affairs, but it also allowed members to connect on a social level, with the group initially attending a traditional Lebanese dinner accompanied by live music. The remaining days of the member meeting included: a visit to the local ruins of Baalbek, created by the Phoenicians in 10,000 BC, followed by a winery tour in the Beqaa Valley.
IR Global’s Ross Nicholls also attended and thoroughly enjoyed seeing members from the Middle East and North Africa.
IR Global India Meeting – Mumbai 🇮🇳
ALMT Legal hosted a very successful meeting last week, with Senior Partner Aliff Fazelbhoy hosting members from across India, at the renowned The Royal Yacht Club.
The topic of the meeting was to discuss the ever-changing hybrid work environments and the challenges these present, along with client confidentiality and how it could be addressed more effectively.
After the meeting, the group enjoyed a delicious lunch with spectacular views across the yacht club before trying their hand at sailing, many for the first time. Members recalled the event as a ‘memorable, fun learning experience’, where hosts ALMT Legal perfectly combined corporate life with the love of sailing.
It is great to see members connecting with each other in such a fantastic array of locations, not only working together to overcome and improve issues within their working groups, but also exploring what their regions have to offer, through its culture, food and breathtaking sights.
Be sure to send us your photos to [email protected] so we can share these with the network too.
