At the end of last week, we hosted our Dealmakers Conference in London at the landmark Kimpton Fitzroy. This was an exclusive event for members who are active in the deals process, enabling them to share their insights and opportunities.
Thank you once again to our headline sponsors: Colman Coyle, RPG Crouch Chapman, and Dunning, Rievman & MacDonald LLP
Thursday 21st November
The conference began with an afternoon of networking amongst some of IR Global’s most active dealmakers, including engaging roundtable discussions focusing on the current deals’ environment, discussing the challenges and opportunities expected in 2025.
This was followed by an opening drinks reception at the Kimpton Fitzroy’s Palm Court, kindly sponsored by BCF Business Law.
Attendees concluded the evening at Ibérica Marylebone for a sponsor hosted tapas and wine social, courtesy of Colman Coyle, RPG Crouch Chapman, and Paul Beare Ltd.
Friday 22nd November
Friday kicked off with a networking breakfast, where attendees met our sponsors and were able to develop relationships with other IR Global members working in the cross-border deals space.
Attendees were then welcomed to London with a short presentation from the IR Global team. This was followed by a panel of sponsors (Dr. Benno A. Packi of Adesse Anwälte, Robert MacDonald of Dunning, Rievman & MacDonald LLP, Howard Colman of Colman Coyle, and Philip Bird of RPG Crouch Chapman), who provided an overview of how changing interest rates could impact the future of deal activity, offering perspectives from the US, UK, and Germany.
Our first keynote speaker, economist and journalist Soumaya Keynes, discussed how to make sense of the uncertain global economic outlook, shedding light on productivity, inflation and interest rates. After a mid-morning break, attendees then engaged in networking table discussions prior to a networking lunch in the Kimpton Fitzroy’s Palm Court.
After lunch, our second keynote speaker, economist and author Chris Roebuck gave a session on accelerating success, where he outlined the critical leadership capabilities for enhanced deal making. This was followed by another networking table discussion and closing refreshments in Palm Court.
To close off the conference, a luxury networking dinner was held in the Kimpton Fitzroy’s grade II listed ballroom, sponsored by Paul Beare Ltd and Sanli Pastore & Hill.
Thank you to all of our sponsors and attendees for another incredible event. View our highlights in the video below.
