GERMANY’S WORLD ECONOMIC COUNCIL, HAS APPOINTED WILLIAM H. SHAWN AS THE FIRST AMERICAN TO ITS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Germany’s World Economic Council (WEC), has appointed William H. Shawn as the first American to its Executive Committee.

Since its 2013 founding by German multinationals’ senior executives in manufacturing, technology, banking, and other industries, and by leaders in academia, the World Economic Council has developed national networks of business and academic leaders through its Internationaler Wirtschaftssenat e.V. (IWS ) affiliate.

Through its senior management and academic membership, the IWS, in turn, focuses on the practical implementation of time-honoured core values of business integrity to meet today’s global political, economic, cultural, and environmental challenges by enlisting practical participation beyond individual national markets and across geographical and cultural borders. The IWS’s fusion of such time-honoured values and its dynamic mix of industry and academic leaders have driven its success and expansion worldwide.
