For many years Yves has assisted national and international client with regards to competition law, EU Regulatory matters and commercial contracting.
Currently Yves specialises in the legal aspects of ESG and sustainability. He regularly trains the higher-level management of his clients on ongoing and upcoming aspects of sustainability. He also assists clients with devising and implementing an ESG strategy regarding their supply chains and reporting obligations.
Yves regularly assists clients on national and EU competition law queries, ranging from information exchange to vertical and horizontal restraints, R&D and technology transfers. Yves sets up competition law compliance programmes for industry associations. He has also trained clientele on dawn raids, information exchange, the monitor of internal compliance mechanisms and vertical restraints. Yves has been involved in legal proceedings on competition law on both the national and EU level.
With a substantive knowledge of commercial law matters, Yves has advised on many aspects of contractual and commercial law, for large international corporations as well as start-ups. These activities include negotiating, interpreting and drafting of contracts with a focus on distribution agreements. He has also defended clients’ interests before a whole array of courts, from the Court of Appeal to the State Council and others.
Yves has gained considerable expertise in a variety of clients’ EU regulatory needs, such as WEEE requirements, labelling requirements, waste management issues in various sectors, but also product liability and product safety issues in various sectors, such as retail and the automotive sector.
Yves graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law at London’s King’s College as well as a Master in International Legal Studies (cum laude) at the Università di Verona in Italy.
