Tine is a Partner at ODI, heading the Slovenian Corporate Advisory practice group.
Being fluent in various foreign languages, thus conversing naturally in several jurisdictions ODI operates in, Tine‘s main area of practice is day-to-day cross-border advisory in various fields of corporate law. He specialises in commercial law, competition law, including state aid, labour law, and administrative law including public procurement and PPP procedures.
Tine graduated cum laude at the University of Ljubljana and completed an LL.M. at Leiden University with distinction. Having previously completed the exchange study programme at the Faculty of Law at the Second University of Naples, his international profile is complemented by a stint in the academia at the T.M.C. Asser Instituut in The Hague. He has authored various articles and papers in the field of competition and sports law, being also an active speaker at various conferences and symposia. He has also acted as the country correspondent for Slovenia for the European Competition and Regulatory Law Review since 2017.
With previous in-house counselling experience for two large regional companies, he was also a member of the Slovenian State Electoral Commission (Unit II) between 2010 and 2015.
His professional endeavours have recently been recognised by the renowned directory IFLR1000 in its 2019 edition for delivering “[…] commercially pragmatic and responsive service“.
