Ted’s practice is unique among environmental attorneys. He leads a group of legal / technical professionals who focus significant attention on environmental, health and safety (EHS) legal / technical auditing and compliance counseling, and hazardous materials / dangerous goods transportation (DGT) practices throughout the United States and internationally in approximately 50 countries. He has assimilated years of technical knowledge and experience, which began as an environmental engineer and safety professional and later as an attorney. Ted and his team also perform due diligence activities, support merger and acquisition activities, defend clients against regulatory EHS administrative citations / notices of violation.
Ted is a certified environmental auditor through the International Registry of Certified Auditors. His team also holds various EHS / DGT audit and compliance certifications. Together, they counsel and audit a wide variety of manufacturing, distribution, research and development, and retail clients on EHS and DGT regulatory compliance matters. They are familiar with all types of operations from automobile assembly and parts manufacturing, battery production, foundries, metal stamping facilities, wire assembly, coal, gas and oil utilities, metal finishing and electroplating, electrical component, paper coating, can coating, printing, health and beauty care product manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, research and development, paper manufacturing, fertilizers, chemical manufacturing, food and beverage production, groceries and retail stores, and other heavy manufacturing industries, as well as a variety of waste and wastewater treatment, recycling and disposal facilities. Consequently, Ted and his team also develop and implement EHS / DGT regulatory compliance programs for their clients.
Ted earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Thomas More College, his Master of Science from Purdue University in Environmental Engineering, and a Juris Doctor from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Ted is a member of the Ohio and Kentucky Bar Associations.
