Always looking for the best solution

After having worked at several leading law firms for a large number of years, we wanted to set up an excellent, not too large, specialist law firm of our own.

A firm with short lines of communication and a personal approach by experts who translate complicated legal disputes into practical solutions. All this at competitive hourly rates. We wanted to be an alternative to large specialised firms. That is what inspired us to set up VMBS Advocaten in 2006, which is now known under the name of Law&Pepper Advocaten.

“The legal profession has appealed to me ever since I was a child. I remember being eight years old and calling out with conviction that I wanted to become a lawyer. Even at a young age I was intent on resolving as well as preventing disputes. I also find the legal profession interesting because I have always enjoyed coming into contact with new people and/or companies.”

Within Law&Pepper Advocaten, Philippe Jansen focuses on Financial law & Insolvency law and Business law & Company law.

Studies

Philippe started studying at Maastricht University. This is where Philippe followed the European Law School Bachelor’s degree programme, which focused on both European law and Dutch law. After that, Philippe completed his Master’s degree programme in Dutch law, with business law as his specialist area, at Radboud University Nijmegen. During his Master’s degree programme, Philippe did a traineeship with firms such as Boels Zanders Advocaten and VDB Advocaten Notarissen. Before Philippe started working as a lawyer at Law&Pepper Advocaten, he worked as a legal assistant at a small-scale law firm for eighteen months.

Getting started at Law&Pepper

After his graduation (2020), Philippe started out as a legal assistant at Law&Pepper Advocaten. Philippe is following a professional training for lawyers, which is a mandatory course for lawyers.
