Show more +Maïja has over 15 years of experiencein competition law, distribution law and commercial contracts, in France and Morocco. She has been advising and representing national and international client in a very wide range of sectors (including food, retail, services and construction). She also handles cases as a correspondent for many foreign law firms.
Experience
- Maïja has extensive skills in anti-competitive practices (antitrust and abuses of dominant position issues): she advises in all areas of French and EU competition law and represents clients before the courts and competition authorities, working on cartel cases and actions for damages. She has a particular experience in merger control and in notifying mergers to the French Competition Authority.
- She advises in distribution law and assists clients in setting-up distribution networks and in negotiating and drafting various commercial agreements.
- She also helps the clients to navigate the rules applicable to foreign direct investment screening in France.
- She is part of UGGC Africa, UGGC’s subsidiary in Morocco that accompany its clients in their investment projects in Africa. She assists national and international clients in Moroccan distribution law and competition law, which has been booming in the last few years. She has a considerable experience in assessing the notifiability of concentrations under merger control rules and in filing concentrations to the Moroccan Competition Council.
