She is adept at tariff classification, ADD/CVD scope analysis, customs valuation, rules of origin, preferential trade programs, export (ECCN) classification, and export control risk assessment among others. She also identifies additional duty recovery opportunities and provides advice to clients on U.S. and international import and export trade matters. These services have allowed her to help clients optimize their operations and achieve cost savings while ensuring compliance.
In a previous role as a trade attorney with another boutique trade firm, Kerry assisted domestic and international companies in meeting their compliance obligations by analyzing legal requirements. She represented importers and surety companies and defended against trade violations arising from government investigations, audits, internal reviews, or penalty cases.
Kerry provides services in duty recovery, duty drawback, First Sale for Export, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, section 301 exclusion recovery, Customs transfer pricing, valuation, ADD/CVD scope review, and country of origin analysis.
