Katherine Rayden set up Rayden Solicitors and built it to become the award-winning firm it is today. Her extensive experience as a family lawyer, business owner and award winning entrepreneur mark her out as a family law expert who provides sensible, commercial advice on a range of family law issues.
Katherine has over 20 years’ experience as a specialist family law solicitor. She specialises in the financial disputes that can follow the breakdown of any relationship. Katherine has practical knowledge and experience of working with different business structures and inter-company loans and understands the impact that these can have on financial negotiations or settlement. She is also experienced in cases with complex international or corporate structures, pre nuptial agreements, international divorce as well as those that require an in-depth analysis of complex income structures and pensions.
Katherine also handles almost all aspects of private law children matters including relocation of children, applications for contact with children, fact-finding hearings and surrogacy law. Katherine often acts for same-sex parents.
Although some of Katherine’s cases have gone to trial in recent years, most cases have settled without the need to go to a final hearing saving substantial court expenses for clients. This has been possible because Katherine has been able to draw on her substantial experience to achieve the most sensible and cost-effective solution for her clients. An experienced advocate, Katherine offers clients continuity of care and the ability to attend urgent hearings personally.
Katherine is noted by industry peers as ‘the doyenne of family law outside London’ and commended for her ‘tremendous enthusiasm for her work.’
Katherine has acted for and continues to advise a number of high profile clients, celebrities and top-flight professionals both within the region and in London.
Katherine qualified into boutique London firm Sears Tooth, moving to Farrer & Co for 9 years before setting up Rayden Solicitors.
