Daniel is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team at Moore Barlow and has extensive experience of working with clients on cases of a corporate and commercial nature and particularly enjoys insolvency-based litigation work.
Daniel receives instructions to assist corporate clients with technical and legal issues arising from insolvency proceedings and undertakes general advisory work in relation to insolvency. Daniel has advised and acted on matters including bringing actions for and defending corporate and commercial clients against winding up proceedings, including applications for injunctive relief. Daniel acts for individuals served with statutory demands and individuals threatened with bankruptcy proceedings. Daniel provides valuable assistance for clients requiring assistance on procedural steps and for clients preparing for appearing in court.
Daniel also acts for and assists insolvency practitioners on legal issues occurring in the context of their appointments as office holders and within any insolvency proceedings. Recent examples include acting for IPs in an administration to successfully recover funds owed to the company in administration. Daniel also has experience of acting for and against trustees in bankruptcy and has successfully argued for the preservation of a bankrupt’s interest on trust principles.
