Anthony “Tony” Brunson is the CEO of Anthony Brunson P.A., a Florida based Public Accounting and Consulting Firm. The consummate professional, Tony is a graduate of Jackson State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting. He also attended Dartmouth College where he completed his fellowship in the Small Business Enterprise Program.

Tony’s professional history encompasses over three decades of public accounting and consulting experience. A former partner of an internally grown accounting practice from its inception to becoming one of the top 25 Florida based professional firm, Tony began his career as a staff member of a big 4 accounting firm and served as a manager at Price Waterhouse, where he managed audits in the banking, oil and gas, construction and governmental industries. Known for being very detail-oriented, Tony has an in-depth knowledge of the audit and financial reporting requirements for varied industries, specifically governments. This coupled with his extensive knowledge of federal and state cost methods, practices and theories, contributed to his qualification as an expert witness in matters involving construction claims and cost allocation methods, governments, and health care entities. These attributes place him in a prime position to become a major contributor to any organization.

Anthony “Tony” Brunson has been appointed by the Florida Courts as a Receiver and/or Trustee as a result of various bankruptcy proceedings and/or guardianship matters. Additionally, he has gained extensive experience performing economic impact studies and providing economic development consulting services to developers, governments, and community development organizations throughout South Florida.

Tony served on the board of directors of a privately held telephone company which was subsequently acquired by a national utility organization and serves; or has served as President, Chairman, Board Member or Treasurer of the following nonprofit organizations:

Tony is a former member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants State and Local Government Committee, which authored “Compliance Auditing in Florida” and “Financial and Compliance Audits of Florida Special Districts” practice aids that gained national recognition.

A native Miamian, Tony is committed to civic involvement and has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Claude Pepper Award in the Volunteer category presented by United Home Care Services, the Award of Excellence from the Louie Bing Scholarship Fund, Inc., and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s “Up and Comers’ Business Awards,” among others.

Moreover, his community involvement has included the playful role of serving as Santa for underprivileged children, to advocating for serious causes such as domestic violence programs, to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly, as well as contributing to programs that positively impact the lives of youths.
